Introduction

The Twelve Goddesses were played by a group of artists. They wore red dresses and colorful masks. They gave children blessings by petting their heads, mouths and bodies. They also sang a special rhyme, "I pet your head, may you be smart. I pet your mouth, may you be sweet. I pet your body, may you be stout."
